Making good progress. I’ve started writing signs, and I’m getting closer on the penny display. It’s sort of just a matter of working as much as I can all the time. I’m still struggling with designing graphics, but I’m working on it.
Late again. Not much to report this week, but I’ll be cracking down over break. I wrote a schedule out for the week that should help me get back on track by the time I’m back in school.
Wow, I’m really horrible at updating these on time.
So — still working on my official source list, but it’s looking good. One acts end this week so I’ll have much more time on my hands and I plan to start staying after school to dedicate an hour to senior project each day. I’ll also be spending a huge amount of time working on it over Thanksgiving since I’m not traveling.
I’m getting back on top of stuff. I’ve got a layout of all the things I’m going to make AND sources, which means I’ve narrowed down all my content and can just start working now. By the end of the week I need to formally lay out all sources and info so I have a real blueprint for the displays.
I still feel like I’m realllllyyyyy behind, and I’m definitely starting to panic about it. I’ve reached a bit of a road block in terms of my graphic design, but I’m going to sit down with Dr. Morgan to work through it. I’m getting more statistics, and I’ve made a little bit of progress with my penny display.
I’m starting to narrow down my data for infographics, though I’m still kind of freaking out about graphic design. I’ve decided to just draw out what I want first and then figure out how to make it all digitally. I’m kind of swamped with other work right now, but I’m trying to get in as much senior project time as possible.
Things are going mostly fine? I submitted my rubric today and I’m pretty happy with it. My next immediate step is finishing assembling the frame for the penny display. I also have to email Drossel to follow up on doing a change drive. I’m started to feel really worried that I won’t be able to get everything done in time. I’ve realized that I know absolutely nothing about graphic design, and I don’t know how I’m going to gather the resources/skills for making the infographics I want to have.
I’m working on finalizing blueprints for my income inequality penny display. I’m also looking into starting a GoFundMe or Kickstarter to collect the physical pennies that will be used, all of which will be donated to Girls Who Code. I’m also trying to find statistics to use for the other displays, but I’m a little unsure as to what sources are good and reliable for general statistics. I’d like to get started on some smaller infographic prints, but I’m not sure what’s involved as far as graphic design. I feel like I’m in a pretty good place, there’s just so many small things to do before I can move on to bigger things, so it feels like there isn’t much getting done.
